Property in London is among the most desirable in the world.

It is now estimated that half of all properties over £2million are bought by overseas purchasers, with home-buyers from Russia, China, India and, most recently, Brazil adding to the traditional American, Middle Eastern and Western European demand for London’s best properties.

The most popular areas have traditionally been Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Kensington and Chelsea and St. Johns Wood. Other parts have also shown notable price increases over the past 10 years, particularly Notting Hill Gate and Wandsworth. Properties built before 1910 tend to reach higher prices than those afterwards, though recent developments in traditional architectural styles are also much sought-after.
